THE FUTUTE OF THE EARTH

The Future of the Earth uses dance, theater and music to visualize scientific climate scenarios. With the principle of Performing Data, futures that are usually presented in the form of tables and diagrams can be experienced sensually. What if the climate continues to warm by 1.8, by 2.2 or by 4.7 degrees? In a installation setting, performers act out possible future realities and have them examined by experts from politics, art and science. The experimental set-up The Future of the Earth develops a different practice of scenario design and takes the audience along to actively approach different climate futures.
